Juliet Undergoes a Change
Transformation is the changing of the personality or character. It is a fundamental change throughout a period of time. Over the course of a lifetime, everyone experiences transformation as they move into each new phase of life. Usually these changes take years, but sometimes one significant event forces and individual into the next phase. An example of one such sudden change is seen in the tragic love story Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare. A
dependent, adolescent young woman. By the end of the play she shows others, but mainly herself, that she is ready to be self reliant and make her own decisions. The last lines of the play revolve around Juliet and her devolvement as a character. They show that she is essentially more significant than any other character in the play. "For never was a story of more woe/ Than this of Juliet and her Romeo." (5,3, 320-321)
