Life in Sparta

Sparta was one of the most powerful city-states in Ancient Greece, and probably it earned its status for a good reason. Spartans valued strengths of its army probably the most. Perhaps on the one side it's a really good thing, but life it's not only war, and I don't think that it was really smart to turn every man into killing machine and kill those who could not become one. …social similarities different values and completely different lifestyles. Probably Sparta was a bit different from all Greece city-states, but it was a complete opposite of philosophically orientated Athens. <Tab/>Overall I think that Spartans achieved their goals and they were one of the most powerful city state in Greece, but I doubt that it was the best way to do it, and, probably, would not want to be one of them.
