Manic-depressice psychosis is a disoeder that consists of one or more manic episodes combined with alternating periods of depression. A doctor first used the term manic-depressice psychosis, by the name of Emil Kraepelin in 1899. He said that manic-depressice is like a mix of a lot of other mental states combined into onw. I believe that the most painful outcome of having manic-depressive psychosis is the guilt that most of the patients feel. This is not a problem that individuals can control. Therefore, mothers who are diagnosed suffer greatly as they feel like they are unable to care for thei children properly.
