Napoleon Bonaparte's success as a military leader and conqueror can also be seen in another great leader, Julius Caesar. Napoleon was a success because he looked to the past, and emulated Caesar; he built up his army, conquered most of Europe, became a dictator for life and eventually fell from power, because like Caesar, he did not know where to draw the line.
