As we head into a new millennium, we may be slowly killing off our species and many others without even realizing it. There are some solutions that we have put into effect, but without others they will help minimally. Finally, there needs to be more research done on technological solutions, so there can be a more economical and quicker way to clean up our waters. Currently it costs billions of dollars and decades to clean up only a lake or a sea. If the whole world works together, then maybe we can start to solve these otherwise seemingly impossible tasks. (Annin, 1999; Caldicott, 1995; Goldman, 1994; Gorman, 1994)
