"Oedipus the king" essay
Oedipus, a classical tragic play used for entertainment ad morality. It is a perfect example of a traditional tragic hero, using vivid drama and syntax. Although he starts off with a contentious life, it is ended in a drudgerious way. Kind Lauis, Oedipus' own father, thought he could prevent his predicted fate and "lured" many people in believing that his fate was "demolished"; however, neither Oedipus nor his "father" realize that they and the characters
the "fake smile" and "obeying the rules" until it was his. Oedipus was like an idol to some, and a "failure" to others. His "myth" blends reality with moral responsibility, teaching us to watch out for our actions and still live life in a fun way! It is directly proven, through dialogue and interpretation, that the cause of his "tragic flaw" is because of his actions, which may have been influenced by his daily "atmosphere".
