"Other People's Money" explores the covetousness of an eccentric, yet prosperous venture capitalist, Larry Garfield (Danny DeVito) who has found a faltering New England Wire & Cable business that looks better broken up and sold at a huge profit, than it does active on paper. …there was still a longing for Miss Sullivan. As you can imagine, Miss Sullivan was not content with the decision of the company's future nor Larry's insatiable appetite for greed. Although Larry conquered the shareholder's meeting, he was stunned with grief and loss. No material pleasure could cure his agony. However, the ending provides a clear look at how Larry the Liquidator would have another chance with Miss Sullivan as well as "Other People's Money".
