What critical issue does the work address? I really connected with the story The Safe Man. I did not connect with it because I am like him. Rather I connected with it due to my experience in corporate America. This work really took a hard look at some real problems facing companies and employees these days. …while reading in surprise of what was going on. I mentioned to a dear friend that is an HR manager of about 550 people this story and what happened. She gave me some insight as to what would happen to that employee at her company and it was not pretty. My ethical balance of right and wrong also helped me to quickly understand what was going on and allowed the story to make a bigger impact.
