George Best began as a great young prospect , then turned to a superstar, then to an icon for not only the footballing world, but Britain itself. …Britain was blessed to have George Best grace the country with his array of skill and his great character. I feel the national press have been unfair to him in recent years, but I also feel that he may not be with us in ten years, but if anyone can do it George Best surely can. In my opinion George was not just the greatest player in Britain ever, but he is the worlds best.
