…cannot be answered in a yes or no fashion. What I have tried to show throughout this essay is that it can be either. At times our own opinions lead us in the right direction in order to discover truths, while at other times they can be misleading. Whatever the case, I think our personal points of view are necessary in the pursuit of knowledge, although they shouldn't be the sole determinants of our conclusions.
