Perspectives in Psychology

Sigmund Freud developed the psychoanalytical perspective by combining ideas of perception and memory with beliefs of biologically based instincts. His feelings were that unconscious processes such as fears and desires influence behaviour. These processes are forced into the unconscious because they are forbidden or punished by society and parents during childhood. …what persuades me to keep my belief that behavioural psychology is the best out of all the leading perspectives in psychology today. In assignment one humanistic and behavioural were my two highest ranked perspectives. This closely matches my beliefs towards behavioural psychology. Even though my personal thoughts do suggest that behavioural is the best perspective I do think that all other four are important to know and study due to the extreme complexity of humans.
