Philadelphia Freedom Award- Fredrick Douglass

…to succeed in the very same matter. Many followed his footsteps but never reached as far. As many, Fredrick Douglass represents freedom, which is why I believe he should be honor with this award. This man has reached for his northern star, and found determination to help defeat slavery. I look up to Fredrick Douglass and I see not just a man, but a man that changed it all, with his examples throughout his life.
