…species like the redhead and canvasback ducks are seriously endangered (Liptak 43). In 1986 the U.S. and Canada adopted the North American Waterfowl Management Plan. The main goal of this is to restore wetland conditions and duck numbers to what they were in the early 1970's (Liptak ). In short we need to save the wetlands in order to save ourselves. Remember this next time you drink cranberry juice, eat fish, or drink a glass of water.
