Pride and Antigone -Igwurtle

Sophocles's Teiresias condemns pride as an evil. In Antigone, pride was an action despised by society and the gods of Greek mythology. Those who were over-prideful were often punished by the gods and were condemned to suffering. Though, pride is both a positive and a negative trait. …of pride. They do not regard themselves with any sense of honor or value. They are not happy with the way they are or proud of who they are, which in turn leads to the evil of self-destruction. Pride is not only a crime, as thought of by the ancient Greeks. It is true that pride often constitutes evil; but when used in moderation and for positive motives, pride can be a source of justice.
