Prisons are beneficial

…and do the same thing they were doing before. Some prisoners have other people do the dirty work they can no longer do. But we as a society can not stand by and watch criminals commit criminal acts with no retribution. If they want to commit a crime we have to make them think hard about what they are doing and what can possibly happen if they get caught, hence prisons, laws, and law enforcement.
