The Puritans: Builders or Biggest? Puritans created a strong religious foundation for their land and people to live by, not to mention how they created capitalism and a democracy for our country. As a unified community, the Puritans built all of what is now Boston, and maintained great cultivators at the same time. They were able to cultivate wheat, corn, peas, oats, rye, barely, flax, horses, sheep, hogs and gees. These people were very compromising
unify their community again and revive their religion. This was a smart decision made by the Puritans; considering that their "plan" to revive their religion worked and people in the community were once again unified.
