They most likely wouldn't have been possible without Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield's powerful revival. <Tab/>Religion shaped the Americas in many ways. It helped in the establishment of the Ivy League Schools which are still around today. Also it helped bring America into the Revolution which eventually led to freedom. The religious history in America has created a backbone to what society is today.
