Those who adhere to the discourse of globalization argue that the emergence of a global culture is inevitable but the rise of national, religious and ethnic cultural movements which resist to the homogenizing influences of globalization makes this claim unclear. Surely, strong national identities and ideologies are also obstacles to the idea of overpowering globalization process. In other words, maybe we can say that the process of globalization does not seem to be producing cultural uniformity; rather it makes us aware of new levels of diversity.
