Russian Reforms of the 1800's

Reforms create growth and needed change in societies. They take place when the currant system has identified problems that a leader acknowledges. Generally they lead to prosperity. The 1800's in Russia were filled with numerous reforms ranging from trial by jury to cut backs in the military draft. As an American teenager, my life contrasts what a Russian life would have been like during these reforms. The most striking reform to happen during the 1800's …

…now, do not have a say in who controls the university or school. There were reforms in other areas, although these three areas are the ones my life relates to the most. The rules which my government sets fourth upon me to some degree have been based off previous faults in other governments. Although the United States is not in need of major reforms, reforms of the past help keep it that way. W/C 728
