To begin, deviance is any behavior that does not conform to societal norms and is disapproved by large numbers of people. Social deviance is a term that refers to forms of behavior and qualities of persons that others in society devalue and discredit. One can observe that deviance can be looked at from various perspectives through different theories. This paper analyzed one act of deviance by using five theories.
