Sonny had many problems in this story. He main things he was fighting were depression, drugs, his relationship with his brother, and feelings of self worth. He did not see himself as a person who had a lot to offer the world but rather someone who had nothing to give except for his music. He did not have a good relationship with his brother. …always easy to see that you have a purpose in life, just like Sonny could not see that there was anything more for him then playing the piano. However I believe that Sonny could climb out of his hole if he really wanted too. He would first have to stop hanging out in bars and things but even then, if he would just be open to God he would see amazing results in his life.
