Stem Cells Should Be Banned.

As history has progressed, the sanctity of life has risen to an echelon never before seen. Monotheistic outlooks and teachings have caused the world to reach an understanding that every life is to be cherished. Where in ancient times people would be executed simply for speaking their minds, sentences of death are only sparingly handed out in today's world. …most, if not all, of such advances can be obtained through adult stem cell research. This, coupled with the fact that "stem cell research only has the possibility of creating the desired results, but the fact that embryos will be destroyed is a certainty"(Fasbach), clearly outweighs the possible benefits that could be derived from this research. Essentially, a life, or even the prospect of life, overshadows any theory which involves the destruction of lives.
