…it didn't even matter what it was. An interesting thing that Solomon did before he asked for wisdom is that he acknowledged God, what he did for his father David and how he left a son to rule in his thrown, and finally he is given an explanation for what he is asking for. This shows the Humbleness of Solomon (1 Kgs 3:6-8). He is not instantly taking advantage of God's blessing, but understanding God's goodness.
