Strokes are the third greatest cause of death in America, next to cancer and heart attacks. The brain heavily relies on its blood flow and if the course is obstructed the brain will lose its supply of oxygen. If the brain lost oxygen for a matter of minutes then it would the part of lacking oxygen would literally suffocate to death. Some people also think that a stroke is unpreventable, they are dead wrong, if there are some signs a stroke may occur then proper dieting and exercise may reduce the chance of a stroke. And lastly a large amount of people believe that strokes can only happen to old people, thirty three percent of stroke victims are under the age of 65.
