…people. The expansion of Islam continued westward as far as Southern France where in 732 the French army defeated the Muslims at Narboone. The Muslim however kept control of Spain and conquered northwards to Constantinople and across the river Indus which is now in modern day Pakistan. By 750, Muslims had an Empire stretching from Persia across North Africa to Spain. A century after the death of the prophet, Islam embraced more territory than the Roman Empire.
