…Sullivan as he acted to suffer that we became unaware with the lives of those who were not acting. Despite the inaccuracies of this movie and the poor execution of an attempt to document history, it probably had no intention to be used as a historical narrative. Indeed, not every movie must serve a historical purpose, but the movie in itself attempted to convey the Depression to the audience, and it failed in doing so.
