…Duncan. He realizes that there is no reason to kill him other than his own ambition, which is not a rational one. Lady Macbeth is outraged when she hears wat Macbeth has to say and tells him her plan: while Duncan sleeps, she will give his chamberlains wine to make them drunk, and then they can slip in and murder Duncan. Astonished at the brilliance of her plan, he agrees to proceed with the murder.
