…the skills and competencies that are needed to use it creatively and effectively. If they cannot do so, it is likely that the creative, educational and communicative benefits of these technologies will only be realized by a small elite - and that elite, like other elites, will be primarily male and middle-class. If the potential of these technologies is to be realized by all young people, schools may well have a significant role to play.
