Switzerland during WW II

Switzerland during World War II Switzerland, neutralized by the Congress of Vienna (1815), has before World War II stood as an example of a perpetually neutral state. Swiss neutrality basically means that Switzerland is committed never to take part in any conflict that may arise in the future, and in case of war, be ready to enforce militarily its independence and neutral status. …The situation after World War II in Switzerland was just getting better and better. Switzerland became one of the wealthiest nations by collaborating with the Nazis. They did not join the United Nations but assumed an active role in the UN's specialized agencies and programs. Geneva became European headquarters of the UN. The country also remained reserved in the face of European integration efforts and it did not become member of the Council of Europe.
