Quick History Taiwan is a small island off the shores of China. In 1895, military defeat forced China to cede Taiwan to Japan, however it reverted to Chinese control after World War II. The problem is definitely something to think about, especially if the United States pops their heads into it. I have a feeling we will protect Taiwan do to our previous dislikes for China. Taiwan is also a major contributor to the United States. Peace will be found, but only time will tell.
