A team can be best understood as a group of people working together to achieve a common goal. They consist of a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, set of performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable for (Anderson, 1998). Each member of the team has a shared responsibility for getting the job done, and therefore their cooperation is essential to the overall success
in which teams, disadvantages can still arise (Swales, 2002). Some of these disadvantages are a lack of compatibility of some individuals with group work, additional need to select workers to fit group as well as job, and the Possibility some members will experience less motivating jobs. Other disadvantages include possible incompatibility with cultural, organizational, or labor management, increased competition and conflict between groups and more time consuming due to socializing coordination losses, and need for consensus.
