…Americans were killed, not just from disease and a couple massacres, but from continual brutal genocide. They need to know that ninety-nine percent of the people who originally inhabited their country are now dead. Children also need to be taught more about Native American culture and their contributions to American society. Native Americans will feel much better when America knows that the Native Americans were put through genocide simply because their culture wasn=t understood.
