Early humans progressed in their awareness of a higher being or a god over a period of time. This was shown in the story, "The Bee Eater", through the people, specifically through Ur, as he has different experiences where he encounters a higher being, and gradually realizes this. …is something that controls him and the world around him. He cannot control nor explain it. He cannot fight it, stop it, nor reason with it. It was something that he could not fully understand, but he desired to find answers. Similarly, as we grow in our awareness of God's presence, we too desire to develop an understanding of who God is, what role He plays in our lives, and what He means to us.
