Food The blackfeet tribe was always grateful for the food and other materials the buffalo provided. Since the buffalo was plentiful in the plains, it was the main food source. Wherever the buffalo went, the blackfeet went. They would only hunt buffalo is they needed too, and if they killed buffalo they tried not to waste any part of it. Its meat was eaten fresh, smoked, roasted meat, even the tongue, intestines, liver, brains, marrow, …

…and throw a dart or stick in it, hang it on a tree and throw the dart or stick inside it. The most common way was to roll the hoop on the ground and then throw the dart or stick inside it. When you get the dart or stick inside the hoop you get points, and the person with the most points wins! Games were always important to the natives, it helps practice different skills.
