…he Civil War. The Civil War was started over the morality of slavery. It ended by the North winning. They had the will power. Another factor in this war was that 2/3 of southern troops were abandoning the southerners. They could not fight for them. Every state other than South Carolina supported the union. They were not resource starved, they had a plentiful amount of resources, they just did not have the reason to fight for.
