I think both the Manchurian Crisis and the Abyssinian Crisis damaged the League equally. They both showed the League's weaknesses and how ineffective it was. They lacked any serious threats to countries that disobeyed the rules and no one was afraid of them. After Manchuria, most countries were appalled and embarrassed of the League and after Abyssinia no one trusted the League anymore. Both situations bruised the League of Nations reputation and contributed to its downfall.
