…the USSR was always going to make it hard for them to found grounds on which they could agree, and although the conferences at Teheran, and Yalta seemed to be peaceful, neither side completely trusted the other side, a feeling that became expressed at the conference at Potsdam. It was from that point onwards that the hatred between the capitalist USA, and the communist USSR was spawned into what became known as the Cold War.
