Critics argue that kids listening to rap music will adopt their 'gangsta' personas, demote women,
today. The importance of communities, territorial divisions and spaces are communicated through their music and songs may sometimes contain violent lyrics. However that is the type of environment they lived in and were brought up in. In order for this to change, the type of environment they lived in needs to improve. Therefore it is necessary to recognize and understand that there are different messages being communicated to listeners who occupy different spaces and places.
