The Signifcance of the Capture of Saddam Hussein

There has been much debate over the importance of Saddam Hussein's capture. Many have said that his capture is of little importance. Others say that Saddam's capture is very important to the U.S. and will have many positive effects. I believe that the capture of Saddam is important but not for the right reasons. I agree that many positive effects will come from the capture of Hussein, but all have failed to mention that …

…also vowed that the guerrilla resistance would not end. No matter how stubborn they may seem to westerners, these rebels and terrorists are fighting for their homeland and for what they believe is right. They already knew that they are out numbered and facing an elite fighting force, and Saddam's capture does not change that. It only gives them one more reason to hate. They will never give up, and will fight to the death.
