In comparison to the two Revolutions, the French revolution was true whereas the American was a pseudo-revolution. This is because the French has many more characteristics of a real revolt. The Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars tore down the ancient structure of Europe, hastened the advent of nationalism and initiated the era of modern warfare.
