Religious based civilizations have risen and fallen, orders have formed and disbanded, and gods have been created and forgotten. …are not mandatory to continue existing. All of this considered one can see through plain logic that, because religious belief does not biologically support humans it must be treated as a luxury. Although most humans enjoy and cherish luxuries, they are not essential to life. It is most unlikely that we will die tomorrow if we lose our television because it is a luxury. Therefore religious belief, being a luxury, is not essential to life.
