And so, both Aristotle and Plato did know each other, and they worked together. Some of Plato's theories didn't "Brush off" onto Aristotle, as one would expect. And both philosophers didn't believe in the same thing, but Plato's theories did give ideas for Aristotle. And thus, the two philosophers became connected for eternity.
