…a favorite among the Republican party, John McCain of Arizona, have sent letters urging President Bush to cease the ban on stem cell lines (Supporting 1). This underscores, in my judgment, the perils of having a president who turns his back on science in favor of ideology, and as a result, abandons millions of Americans' hopes. Although the Republican Party calls President Bush "The Champion of Stem Cell Research," I believe he's not fully the victor.
