The advancement, development and integration of the Federal Reserve System

Since its creation on December 23, 1913, the Federal Reserve System--which, in generalized terms, is America's central bank--has greatly benefited the United States' economy. Toward that end, the Federal Reserve System has created and maintained many services for both the government and citizens of the United States; these services include the regulation of financial institutions, maintaining of the payments system and consumer protection laws, and conducting and overseeing monetary policy. Through planning and, in recent years, relatively conservative financial policy, it has successfully protected the economy and welfare of the United States. With this conservative fiscal attitude, the Federal Reserve System will undoubtedly maintain its stability and better the economic future of America and its denizens.
