The beach, objective: go to public place and write present tense obvervation essay

I make my arrival to the beach. The sun is scorching. It feels like it must be 110 degrees but the news said it was 87. I make my very first step off the ledge into the silky sand to feel thousands, maybe even millions, of pearl white shells and particles sand squeeze through my toes covering my feet in its residue. …great things going on around me. Speedboats rocketing through the salt waters. A very large tugboat blast the horn. The people playing sports. The families laughing together that might otherwise never even talk to each other at home. The beach takes on a more sentimental meaning to me. I am reminded of why it a vacation destination for thousands everyday. I go home today with a much greater appreciation of this backyard paradise of mine.
