The Communists infused their armies with perposful spirit, and presented a vision of the future that appealed to even the urban middle classes. The Nationalist regime alianated many sections of the Chinese society, even their formor supporters by their incompetence, brutality and corruption. The Communist Party would have returned after being driven away to the Yanan, wether the Japanese had invaded or not. The people of China deserved an equal oppurtunity to live and grow.
