…had they been more receptive to the colonist's wants and needs. However the war was inevitable because the Americans were not just going to let a ruler who lived across the pond control them. This is the biggest even in both our history and British History. It started a downward spiral for them, and it was the starting point for the excellent country we were going to become and that we are still becoming today.
