My personal interpretation is based largely upon the themes of power and betrayal within the play; which is vital to how you all will interpret your characters. …and changes in power relations and facial expressions - displaying feelings associated with the lines, such as guilt, cunning or joy. Shakespeare uses Iago's character as a platform for all the tragic events that occur in the play. It is therefore very important that the representation of Iago's character epitomizes the themes of power and betrayal.
