Pharmaceutical industry has always enjoyed a unique and respectable status, on the one hand, and an unenviable and distrustful standing, on the other. Interestingly, developed countries are scouting for talent, seeking tie-ups for R&D, clinical trials, and even product launch in developing and less developed countries. There is a conscious effort to break down barriers - spatial and temporal, physical and mental, and also social and cultural - all of which hopefully augur well for the industry as well as the consumers.
