…that the Pharisees seemed to be more willing to adopt religious views, which now seem more normative, was this a denial on the part of the Sadducees of their faith and did this make them less religious then their opponents? On the contrary, it was not an irreligious attitude which made the Sadducees deny some religious views, instead they were loyal to biblical traditions which they were bound to hand on in their own time.
